Foundation of UMG® and start of its activity in Ukraine

November 1994

First research for "SVT-Fortuna" (official distributor of "OPEL AG" in Ukraine) was successfully conducted.

April 1995

Beginning of long–term cooperation with first international client "British-American Tobacco".

May 1995

Market entry research complex for new brand of sunflower seed oil was held (brand "OLEYNA").

June 1995

UMG® became representative of Ukraine in long-term international sociological project "Democracy and local governing".

August 1996

UMG® took part in the exhibition of marketing and advertising technologies "Advertisement-96" for the first time.

March 1997

UMG® conducted complex "Pre-launch research" for McDonald's company in Ukraine (Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnepropetrovsk), results of which were used for establishing price policy of McDonald's in Ukraine.

June 1998

UMG® has become a member of ESOMAR.

July 1998

UMG® conducted researches for McDonald's in Georgia, Moldova and other CIS countries, hereby starting its international activity.

August- September 1998

UMG® took part in the exhibitions "Advertisement 98" and "REX-98".

September 1998

UMG® took part in the 51-th congress of ESOMAR in Berlin.

September 1998

UMG® renovated its company style and created a new slogan: "MAKING UKRAINE SIMPLE".

November 1998

UMG® opened Department of medical and pharmaceutical researches.

December 1998

UMG® developed own premises for FGI, equipped in accordance to global standards (one-side mirror, video-recording etc.).

December 1998

UMG® opened Department of retail audit.

January 1999

UMG® has become a member of American Marketing Association.

March 1999

Representatives of UMG took part in the 4-th Business-forum “Mobile systems’99” in Moscow.

September 1999

UMG® took part in the 52-th congress of ESOMAR in Paris.

UMG® took part in the exhibition of marketing and advertising technologies “REX-99".

September 1999

UMG® staff took part in a specialized training on LINK TEST realization held by Millward Brown International.

UMG® took part in Yalta Internet conference, dedicated to the new Internet technologies in the national informational sphere.

UMG® took part in the 53th annual ESOMAR congress in Vienna.

UMG® took part in the exhibition of marketing and advertising technologies “REX 2000”.

UMG® introduced new unified methodology “Product Concept Testing”.

November 2000

UMG® took part in the international conference "Supermarket 2000", dedicated to the development of retail and market trade, Cash & Carry, market strategies and reatil audit.

November 2000

UMG® was invited and become a member of American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.

December 2000

Top-management of UMG® took part in the meeting with Luice Delkart, the Chairman of Management Committee of European Market Confederation . Meeting was dedicated to peculiarities of conducting market researches in Ukraine.

February 2001

NIPO software for conducting CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interview) was installed and CATI department with 6 operators was founded in the main office of UMG in Kiev.

February 2001

Researches conducted by UMG®, contributed to the market entry of new local umbrella brand “Slovyanochka” by Wimm-Bill-Dann (dairy products).

March 2001

UMG® increased its panel of Price & Distribution Check. Now data is available from 3300 trade spots sample.

UMG® took part in Yalta Internet conference.

UMG® took part in the 54th annual ESOMAR congress in Rome.

During the annual exhibition "Confectionary 2001, organizes of exhibition was "ÀÊÊÎ International", UMG® conducted open seminar "Practice of brand creation and new trademarks market entry".

Research conducted by UMG®, contributed to market entry of new brand "S'eshka" of "Odesskiy Karavay" (confectionery).

MEMRB-IRI company was founded (Retail trade audit in Ukraine).

Own research technologies were standardized:
- U-Track™ (tracking research of brand and advertisement),
- U-Test™ (product and concept tests),
- U-Price™ (consumers’ price sensitivity research),
- U-AdTest™ (advertisement testing)

Branding agency “Marka” was founded.

September 2002

UMG® took part in the exhibition of marketing and advertising technologies "REX-2002".

December 2002

Joint Russian-Ukrainian venture COMCON Ukraine was founded in order to conduct certified research U-TGI (Ukrainian target group index) in Ukraine.

February 2003

At the International exhibition of cosmetics and perfumes "InterCHARM Ukraine 2003" UMG® conducted the seminar: "Use of regular consumer researches in the marketing of cosmetics and perfumes".

March 2003

UMG® took part in the First international conference "Brand management".

June 2003

Joint Russian-Ukrainian venture COMCON Pharma Ukraine was founded, aiming to combine efforts in forming the complex of research instruments for pharmaceutical market analysis.

April 2004

UMG obtained the status of official representative of world research network Research International in Ukraine, that enables it to conduct researches based on RI methodologies.

May 2006

UMG® — partner of Philip Kotler’s visit to Ukraine.

March 2008

Full modernization of CATI center for 70 stations was conducted

Opening of CATI- center network in 5 CIS countries

CATI-center in Ukraine was extended up to 100 stations

Launch of On-line panel for Consumers surveys via Internet

Participation in thr 62th annual ESOMAR congress, Montreux, Switzerland
